'Smile Ambassador' Jackie Chan gestures while speaking during an Operation Smile news conference Wednesday in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Chinese actor came to Vietnam to attend the 20th anniversary of Operation Smile Vietnam. For its anniversary, the operation will be conducting 15 simultaneous missions from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to carry out free surgeries for Vietnamese children suffering from cleft lips, cleft palates, dental problems and other facial deformities.

The casket of Army Staff Sgt. Joshua M. Mills is carried by a horse-drawn caisson at his burial services at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. According to military officials, Mills, 24, of El Paso,  died Sept. 16 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle Sept. 15.
